Classically trained, Ben performs worldwide, collaborating with musicians from classical, country, folk, pop, blues and jazz. He also sings brilliantly and adds piano into the mix. Expect creative re-imaginings of classics such as Get Back, The Long and Winding Road, Penny Lane, Can’t Buy Me Love and more. On stage with Ben are Jez Cook (guitars), Paul Jefferies (bass) and Nick Millward (drums).

Gorgeous melodies from the pen of Multi-Grammy Award Winner Burt Bacharach

We’re delighted to welcome the brilliant ‘Burt Bacharach Experience’, an evening exploring the incredibly diverse compositions of Burt Bacharach - such as ‘The Look of Love’, ‘Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head’, ‘What the World Needs Now’, and oodles more. You’ll know the songs, but you won’t have heard them played like this before! Leading the quartet, pianist Alex Steele is a much sought after pianist for many genres; Catherine Sykes is the complete professional and she sings with the Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, and many more; the celebrated Trumpeter Stuart Henderson will take the melody lines when Catherine isn’t singing. Lyrical bassist Paul Jefferies is joint creator of this show with Alex Steele - his work as a bassist, educator and promoter of live jazz throughout Oxfordshire and the Midlands is highly regarded and Euan Palmer is a truly excellent drummer, his work with all styles of jazz, modern classical and contemporary folk music plays a big part in his subtle appreciation of the music making process - he is the perfect fit for this quartet, adding equal measures of nuance and rhythm to Alex and Paul’s arrangements.
